This data standard is intended to help case managers and the people affected by Superstorm Sandy find information about human services in the New York City area. It consists of:
- Services Schema that defines the information that should be collected about each service
- Service_type Taxonomy describes what the service provides (ex. “legal” or “senior care”).
- Audience Taxonomy describes who is supposed to access this service (ex. “families” or “renters”).
- File format and data licensing recommendations.
- Instructions for how to contribute information to the services directory and give feedback on the data standards.
Our data standards will remain as compatible as possible with the data standards recommended by the Open Referral Initiative.
