Our location-aware searchable service directory allows people to find relevant social and human services in New York City. It uses free/libre/open-source Ohana API software and organizes information using the Open Referral Human Services Data Standard. Users can access information via our front end interface, but the data is also exposed via API so software applications can access the data through automated processes.

“Out of the box, the Ohana API project provides an API with an admin interface for updating the data, and a website for searching the data.
★ Free and open source
★ Targeted search for human services
★ Centralized data”

Ohana API is the same software used by San Mateo County Connect.

We’ve embedded our serives directory below, which can be found at services.nycprepared.org.
